DAVID SPANO APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE FINANCIAL PLANNING ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN WISCONSIN
Spano set to serve as Chairman after successful 2009 Presidential Campaign.
MILWAUKEE, WI. The Financial Planning Association of Southern Wisconsin’s (FPA-SW) board of directors has named David J Spano, CFP® as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 2010.
Spano succeeds Bernie Fiedler, President of Waukesha State Bank’s Wealth Management Division. Prior to appointment as Chairman of the Board, Spano served as President for the FPA-SW. In 2009, under Spano’s leadership, the FPA-SW was recognized at FPA’s Leadership Conference for attaining the Gold Level of achievement in FPA’s Chapter Recognition Program. The chapter was honored for its accomplishments and efforts in chapter operations and leadership, community outreach, membership outreach and development and special achievements. “It’s an honor to be recognized for our achievements,” said FPA-SW past president, David J. Spano, CFP®. “We’ve worked diligently over the past year to increase our success and are proud that our efforts have been recognized on a national level.”
Spano, who co-hosts the weekly radio show “Money Talk” on 620WTMJ, has been in the financial planning profession for more than 20 years. Through his work he has established himself as a leader in the organization and in the community. His involvement is evidenced by his role on several notable boards of directors, including: the Italian Community Center, The Historic Third Ward, and the Miller Park Stadium Board.
Spano is founder and president of Annex Wealth Management, LLC. Annex, which is headquartered in Brookfield, brings together high-quality, client-focused professionals from the investment advisory, retirement planning, and estate planning fields to form a client service team prepared to meet the financial needs of a diverse client base.
As Chairman of the board, Spano will lead an organization that helps practitioners succeed as financial planners, cultivates the body of knowledge for financial planning, shares best practices, and encourages professional development.
The board also appointed Sarah Ehrhardt, JD as President. Ehrhardt is an estate planning attorney with Michael Best & Friedrich. The FPA-SW is highly regarded in the community for their efforts to promote the financial planning industry.
