
Eric Brown started his career the week before Black Monday in October of 1987 as a broker’s assistant at Dean Witter Reynolds working to put himself through College. Eric graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.
In 1990, Brown joined Shearson Lehman Brothers and began building his own client base. Eric then moved to Chicago taking a position with Fidelity Investments as a Financial Advisor and Office Retirement Coordinator. He later returned to Milwaukee as a Senior Advisor and Officer for Private Financial Services with FBS Investments.
Brown then transitioned to the institutional side as the Institutional Consulting and Sales Manager with Ibbotson Associates handling institutional accounts in Canada and the Southeast United States. Ibbotson remains one of the foremost asset allocation authorities and premier third-party financial consulting firms in the country serving corporate accounts.
Staying on the institutional side, Brown served as Managing Director of an $80 billion dollar mutual fund complex in Boston, MA., Senior Vice President of a managed futures and commodities firm in Atlanta, GA. and Regional Vice President with Integrity Life/Touchstone Securities.
As Vice President, Brown helped pilot a new broker/dealer marketing and distribution channel for AIG. After which Brown then transitioned to the RIA Channel with AIG to work with a new Ibbotson advice based mutual fund platform he utilized inside 403(B) plans. Most recently, before joining Annex, Eric served since January of 2006 as Managing Partner/CCO and Senior Investment Advisor for The Mutual Fund Store, Milwaukee.
Brown, a native of Wisconsin, is married with two children and in his spare time races sailboats competitively and enjoys many outdoor activities; including hunting, fishing and mountain biking.
